GSAP React
Integrate GSAP with React and Next.js, including scoped selectors, dependency changes, Strict Mode and unmounting.
Features
- Scope animation to a component with useGSAP or gsap.context.
- Clean up on dependency changes and unmounts, and avoid browser objects during SSR.
When to use it
Useful for React lists, page entrances and lifecycle fixes in existing GSAP code.
Before you start
Requires a working frontend project and GSAP. Installing this Skill does not add animation dependencies to your app; the GSAP runtime and plugins have their own license.
Usage example
Follow this illustrative workflow, replacing file names and goals with your own project details.
Fix animations duplicated after navigation
- What to prepare
- A React route component, existing motion code and reproduction steps.
- Workflow
- Review selectors and effect lifecycles, add scoped cleanup and verify Strict Mode and navigation.
- Expected deliverables
- React motion with explicit cleanup and navigation verification results.
